Reports To: BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Qualifications & Experience:
· Proven CEO or senior executive leadership experience in a specialty or industrial chemicals company with $200M–$300M revenue.
· Extensive global business experience with a deep understanding of international markets, operations, and regulations.
· Demonstrated success in scaling a company’s revenue, driving operational efficiencies, and expanding global market share.
· Strong financial acumen, including expertise in P&L management, mergers and acquisitions, and investor relations.
· In-depth knowledge of chemical industry trends, sustainability initiatives, and regulatory compliance.
· Exceptional communication, negotiation, and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and influence stakeholders.
· Bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemistry, Engineering, Business, Finance, or a related field.
· Minimum of 10 years of chemical production management experience.
· In-depth understanding of accounting principles including budgeting, balance sheets, income statements, cash flow, and capital planning
management.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience leading private equity-backed or publicly traded chemical companies.
· Track record of successful M&A integrations in the chemicals sector.
· Promotion of process improvement.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Strategic Leadership & Vision:
o Develop and implement a clear, compelling global business strategy aligned with company’s mission, vision, and values.
o Drive strategic planning efforts, ensuring the company remains agile and responsive to evolving market dynamics.
o Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
· Operational Excellence & Global Management:
o Oversee and optimize all business departments, ensuring efficient and effective operations across all global locations.
o Drive efficiencies in manufacturing, supply chain, and logistics, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations worldwide.
o Ensure quality metrics are achieved through sound business processes and regulatory agency guidelines.
· Global Market Expansion & Business Development:
o Identify and capitalize on opportunities for geographic and market expansion, including strategic partnerships, and investments.
o Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers, suppliers, and industry partners globally.
o Develop business prospects by studying economic trends and revenue opportunities.
· Financial Stewardship & Risk Management:
o Ensure robust financial performance by managing revenue growth, profitability, and cost control.
o Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning, ensuring sound financial management.
o Manage the company’s risk profile, ensuring compliance with all regulatory obligations.
o Monitor company performance by measuring and analyzing results, initiating corrective actions, and minimizing the impact of variances.
· Talent Development & Organizational Culture:
o Build and lead a high-performing executive team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and operational excellence.
o Ensure the company is staffed with well-trained, quality, and engaged employees at all times.
o Lead, mentor, and empower staff, promoting professional growth and development.
o Creates an environment and culture that focuses on fulfilling the company’s mission, vision, and values.
· Stakeholder Engagement & Communication:
o Represent the company at key industry events, community functions, and networking opportunities.
o Effectively communicate the company’s vision, strategy, and performance to internal and external stakeholders.
o Communicate circumstances and events of operations to officers, managers and other appropriate people to keep all apprised.
· Innovation & Sustainability:
o Champion a culture of innovation, driving the development of new products and technologies.
o Ensure sustainability is integrated into all aspects of the business, aligning with environmental and social responsibilities.
o Oversees brand development and the implementation of effective marketing strategies.
· Compliance and Contracts:
o Effectively manages contract negotiations and statutory compliance.
o Ensures the timely submission of month-end financial and operational reviews.
Work Schedule:
Full-time position with significant travel as required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $300,000.00 - $325,000.00 per year
