Whether contributing to world-class research, shaping the student experience, or supporting the University’s mission in other ways, you will be part of a dedicated team working to make a meaningful impact on campus and beyond. At Notre Dame, your work matters, and so do you!

The Office of the Provost is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and service-oriented Faculty Affairs Program Manager. This is a dynamic, in-person role that requires discretion, collaboration, and the ability to manage multiple priorities with efficiency and professionalism. The successful candidate will be a trusted partner to provost’s office leadership, colleagues across the university, and external stakeholders, ensuring seamless support and advancing the priorities of faculty affairs.

Program & Stakeholder Management

Serve as the primary point of contact for the VPAFA, fielding calls, managing communications, and prioritizing emerging issues requiring coordinated response.

Support faculty lifecycle processes tied to the VPAFA’s responsibilities, including:

  • Reappointments, promotions, and appeals (TPAC-RL)
  • Faculty research and administrative leaves
  • Faculty parental and FMLA leaves
  • Faculty separations and retirements
  • Manage the VPAFA’s complex calendar, coordinate meetings, prepare agendas/materials, and draft professional correspondence and minutes.
  • Assist with travel arrangements, itineraries, and expense reports.

Faculty Development & Committee Support

  • Coordinate VPAFA initiatives such as New Faculty Orientation and ND Lead, as well as faculty development events that foster community and growth.
  • Plan event logistics: secure venues, catering, A/V, travel, RSVPs, and itineraries.
  • Manage elections and records related to university committees, supporting both annual and ad hoc cycles.
  • Oversee the review and workflow of procedural items in OnBase, and assist with faculty hiring, tenure, and reappointment processes.
  • Support executive searches, program reviews, and other projects in the VPAFA’s portfolio by coordinating schedules, travel, and logistics.

Why Join Us?

At Notre Dame, you’ll be part of a community that values academic excellence, human connection, and service to the greater good. As Faculty Affairs Program Manager, you’ll directly contribute to the success and well-being of the university’s world-class faculty and play a meaningful role in shaping the academic experience for generations to come.
